Mary Marg Helgenberger born 16 November 1958, is an American actor from the United States. Her professional career started in the early 1980s and first came to attention because of her role as Siobhan Ryan on the soap opera daytime Ryan's Hope from 1982 to 1986. She is best known for her character of Catherine Willows in the CBS police procedural drama. Crime Scene Investigation from 2000-13 as well as Immortality (2005). Vegas (present-day) was the sequel to the first. Her other appearances include K.C. Koloski on the ABC drama China Beach (1988-91) which was the reason she won her the 1990 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. In 2017, she was a part of The View, a morning talk show The View where she co-hosted until 2021 and received four Daytime Emmy award nominations for her work. McCain has also become a Daily Mail contributor after her three-year stint on The View.
