Ina-Garten
Ina Garten has been an acclaimed American cook book author over the seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina began working for the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and the budget. In the beginning, she was enthralled by the intellectual challenge of the job, but quickly lost the interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. After 18 years of making her store a huge success, she sold it and began writing her first book. After that, several cookbooks were published and she also wrote magazine columns. A different hit was the Food Network Television show. She also sells a range of products ranging from cooking supplies as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina did not go to a cookery school nor was she employed in a dining establishment. Her education is completely self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining as well as her simple culinary style is widely known. Her most well-known recipes are Skillet - Roasted lemon Chicken Mac and cheese, Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake and Lemon Bars.
